Hi! I'm Tyler, the Fabric & Design Expert here at ABS. I've put together some winning combos with each popular palette in mind. That way, you can simply select from a curated list guaranteed to look amazing. Just scroll to get started - and don't forget to write down your choices! Let's start with the frames...
Next, let's choose a color for the frame. Just remember, most bed swings look best when the frame and cushions contrast. Want dark fabrics? Go lighter on the frame. Also, try not to use the same color as the wall. Trim and accent matches are fine, but too much of a good thing can make it not so great. ;)
Halfway through! Now we have to select the hanging material. A few things to note: Rope is always included in a package, while Cables are a slight upcharge and Straight Rods are a significant upcharge. The latter two are pretty much maintenance-free, while the Rope may stretch a few inches the first year. Choose not just the style, but functionality of your space. If you get stuck my personal favorite is the Cables option, which can be Black or Stainless Steel. :)
Now for the best part - fabrics! All of these options are from Revolution which has a 5-year limited warranty and can be cleaned with bleach. Additionally, these fabrics are much easier to receive than other brands like Sunbrella that have 6+ month backorders. :o
I also attached an image of how I would do the cushion set up. My recommendation is to have the Mattress, Back Pillows, and Medium Pillows. If you want to add some arm rests, Bolsters in the same base color fabric work too. Pro Tip: The Medium Pillows actually turn to the side and double as head support when you lay down, which also gives you more space on the bed swing. If you plan on moving the pillows around often, those Bolsters will just get in the way.
Fabrics can be mixed and matched, but I put a solid alongside a stripe and design so you could choose your favorite two options. Also, I promise the ones put together coordinate well, the pictures can be weird on screens sometimes. Just trust me on this one!
